Create Meaningful Website Links

When you are linking from your website, create meaningful web links. It will help the search engines and your readers know where the link goes, or “lands.” This will benefit your website and the landing website, especially when they are being indexed. As an example, you could just cite the word “plans” in an article, or you could put the link on several meaningful words in a row: “spinning wheel plans” or “photos of custom motorcyles by X designer.” It makes the link a little more wordy, but is a greater help to your readers. They will know exactly what to expect when they click on those words. The search engines will index your page better, too, which will help your “natural” (non-paid) search results. And that’s good for you, as well as your readers.
